So if you have been following you will know that I have been trying to get an internship for the past semester. This is normal for Juniors and even though Lehigh does an amazing Job with getting Companies to come it is still nerve wrecking. I am pleased to announce that I have been chosen to be an Iacocca intern and I will be interning in Amsterdam for the eight weeks over the summer. I will be a quality control intern and I will be working for Apollo Tyres.
Lehigh University’s Iacocca International Internship Program aims to provide students with high-quality learning experiences that will enable them to develop both professionally and personally. These international internship experiences provide an in-depth introduction to work environment norms, industry awareness, and an enhanced global perspective through a true cultural immersion.
Through these internships, students develop significantly – both professionally and personally. The technical skills developed should be relevant to his/her field of study and career aspirations. The soft skills typically developed include,
- improved interpersonal communication
- enhanced self-awareness
- independent thinking
- increased self-confidence
- emerging professional identity
- expanded professional networks
- broadened global awareness, etc.
To Apply for this you have
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcript
I am excited for this and as soon as I know more I’ll let keep you guys posted.
